Speaking at an Activision Blizzard Analyst Day yesterday, company CEO Mike Griffith said the publisher is planning to increase the amount of Guitar Hero games released by 300 per cent by 2010.

So that means the next two years will see three times as many Guitar Hero games hitting the shop shelves - and there are already quite a lot of them across the various formats now. In fact, one of the only games consoles yet to get a Guitar Hero game is PSP - perhaps that could change as part of Activision's Guitar Hero glut?

Guitar Hero: On Tour was released on DS in July, and a sequel to it has already been announced in the form of Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades, due for release later this year.
