Have you ever wanted to wear a red velour suit and a frilly white shirt while delighting pensioners with the easy-listening sounds of Barry Manilow instrumentals? Of course you have - you're human, after all.

Well thanks to classic keyboard manufacturer KORG, you can form your very own lounge act to the tune of authentic KORG analogue sounds and music samples on the KORG DS-10 (we're currently looking for a virtual bass player for Diamond Jim Pocket and the Gamers if you're interested).

Using the touchscreen you'll have access to all functions including the famous KORG KAOSS PadPAD, which allows for easy beat and melody improvisation. The original KORG MS-10 interface will be spread across the dual screens, allowing micro-musicians to switch interrupters, modify drumbeats by drawing shapes or editing the synthesizer tone colour by tweaking knobs and connecting patch cables between the jacks on the Synthesizer Patch Panel.

With the ability to save up to 18 different sessions, you can continue to develop and build electro tunes over time and connect to fellow musicians' consoles through wi-fi and work on a lounge act together.

"We're delighted to have worked with AQ Interactive, Cavia and Procyon Studio to develop the KORG DS-10 for the Nintendo DS," Takahiro Sato, Division Manager of Development at KORG, says. "The unique and innovative features of the console allow for this much loved synthesiser to become a portable tool, and allows users to lay down all the elements to build up their tracks on the move."

Laurent Fisher, Nintendo of Europe's Managing Director of Marketing & PR adds, "KORG has been at the heart of electronic music for many years and we are very pleased to be able to offer this new creative platform to Nintendo DS users. KORG DS-10 highlights the versatility of the console as music fans to take their creativeness out of the studio, as well as being accessible to all electro music lovers with its great value"

Get your velour suit and white shoes ready, as the KORG DS-10 tunes up for release across Europe on 10th October.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
