GC 2008: N-Gage QD and Gizmondo back from the grave!
Well, kind of
Nokia's N-Gage QD phone may have been a bit of a flop sales-wise, but that doesn't stop it from being part of gaming history.
Thankfully, that's been recognised in an exhibition of vintage handheld gaming devices at GC 2008. I was nosing around it in Hall 2, getting nostalgic at the sight of Atari Lynxes in display in glass cases.
And then I was met by the sight above: an N-Gage QD, complete with boxed X-Men Legends game (surely they were buried in a landfill somewhere in Texas Finland?).
But there's more. Sitting right next to the QD was… a Gizmondo! Now that truly does deserve to be a museum piece. Look:
It's enough to make you get all teary-eyed (before driving an exclusive Ferrari at top-speed into a lamp-post and blaming a made-up German named Dietrich).
