Brash Entertainment has snapped up the game rights to (my favourite ever) TV series Prison Break. According to GameSpot, the game will be released in February 2009.

Given the tight timeframe, there are worryingly few other details on the game so far, however. Not even news of which formats it will be released on. In fact, confirmation of the game came from an advert placed into the Season 3 box set of Prison Break.

Brash is a publisher solely focused on licensed games. However, with Alvin and the Chipmunks and the recent Space Chimps under its belt, its reputation for making good ones is somewhat iffy.

So while a Prison Break game has massive potential, I'm not so sure it's going to be fully realised here. (Although I'll say now: if Wentworth Miller were to ask me, I'd give it 10/10 regardless of how crap it is.)

If a DS or PSP release is confirmed, I'll be sure to let you know. After I've regained my composure, naturally.
