Rising Star to unleash
Some of us might have wanted to unleash a double assault on casual DS owners at one time or another - usually when our local game shop has two shelves devoted to brain training games and no copies of God of War: Chains of Olympus.
But Rising Star is actually going to do it according to their latest press release. Not physically however, but by releasing two games targeted at them.
The publisher has already announced the first - part puzzler, part strategy game Cradle of Rome. Today it announces a second though, called Colour Cross.
The puzzle game uses a paint-by-numbers inspired mechanic that calls for players to uncover a hidden picture by applying the appropriate colour to the right square in a grid. Completing a grid then reveals a portion of a larger hidden image as well as unlocks more grids. There are 150 of them in total. You can get a fairly good idea of what to expect from the screenshots above.
Both Colour Cross and Cradle of Rome are the first non-Japanese developed games Rising Star has published. Both games will share the same release date, which will be sometime in early November.
