THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED

The Dark Knight may have been in the cinemas for a couple of weeks now, but Batman fever is showing no signs of abating. Performances continue to sell out, and doubtless there are Bat-fans still keening over unanswered questions.

For instance, why is he called 'The Dark Knight' in this one? And is Heath Ledger really as good as they say in the role of The Joker? And if Michael Caine is Alfred, who for Gotham's sake is Morgan Freeman supposed to be? (We're assuming you've not seen Batman Begins, obviously.)

Frankly, you'll have to wait and see. We're not going to tell you.

We can't make the wait go any quicker, either, but we can pass on some promotional goodies from the nice marketing people at Glu. All you need to do is help us answer a question that, since posed, has rendered the entire office mute with contemplation.

Who should replace the dearly departed Heath Ledger in the role of The Joker?

Just a name will do, but if you want to add a couple of lines justifying your decision please feel free to do so.

Our favourite suggestion will win a magnificent movie poster signed by Christian Bale, Maggie Gyllenhal, and friends, as well as a long-sleeved Batman T-shirt and a free download of the recent game.

Four runners up will win the long-sleeved T-shirt and the mobile game.

The competition is open to UK readers only, and closes on Friday August 15th, with winners to be announced shortly thereafter.

Good luck.
