Two Zeemotes, one TV, one TV-out cable... bingo!

I'll say this now: mobile phones aren't going to replace game consoles in the western world anytime soon. So the video that follows isn't an argument for junking your Wii or Xbox 360 in favour of an N95.

However, it does show how you can pair two Zeemote JS1 controllers up to a single phone, then connect that phone to your TV via a TV-out cable, and engage in two-player games.

The technology to do it certainly works, as I've been trying it out. The tennis game is one of the titles being worked on for the Zeemote launch, and although reminiscent of Wii Sports, it's a work in progress.

Still, what do you think? Can you envisage plugging your phone into a TV for two-player gaming using this kind of peripheral? Post a comment and let us know your views.
