EA has today spoken about its new FIFA game, FIFA 09, which is due out - as ever - in the autumn.

Specifically, it has detailed the game's differences on each system it will come out on - that's every system known to man - and confirmed the game will take advantage of the hardware specifications of each platform.

So PS3 is going to feature new animation technology, on Wii you'll be able to play your own Mii characters alongside the likes of Ronaldinho, PC will have photo-realistic visuals and PS2 will feature 32 different tricks.

What will PSP and DS be getting though you might be asking? Well, it looks like a Be A Pro feature and special camera. And that seems to be about it.

For DS at least. A bit more has been confirmed on the PSP version. For starters there will be an overhauled animation system and new collision system, plus four new skill moves - scoop turns, rainbow flicks, heel-to-heel knocks and ball rolls.

There's also two-button gameplay for beginners, which can be expanded to become more complex as you improve, and a Football IQ quiz which lets you test your football knowledge while unlocking extra content.

Over 500 licenced teams are included, plus 30 leagues and the aforementioned Be A Pro mode, which lets you pick one professional player then play as them over four seasons.

No doubt there'll be lots more news on FIFA 09 emerging as the game's release gets closer - hopefully in particular on the DS game. We'll keep you up to date, of course.
