I-play has announced that it's releasing Moto GP 08, the official mobile game for the 2008 MotoGP season. It's nabbed the licence from THQ Wireless, which has released all the previous MotoGP mobile games.

The new edition will feature 18 tracks modelled on the real-world Grand Prix circuits, as well as all 16 qualified riders for the new season.

I-play is promising idiot-proof controls allied to excellent bike physics, and challenging artificial intelligence to keep your interest up.

There'll also be in-race commentary, and ten different ways to tune your bike (none of which involve painting a go-faster stripe on the side).

The screenshots look pretty good, but Moto GP 08 will have to go some to improve on previous versions from THQ, so we're looking forward to seeing how it copes with the challenge.
