Professor Layton goes mobile

But only in Japan...

Professor Layton goes mobile

It's time for another exciting round of, fantastic sounding Japanese mobile games that we will never get to play in the UK. And who's the star of the show this time? Non other than the DS's very own Professor Layton.

Yep that's right, following the trail blazed by titles such as Katamari Damacy and LocoRoco, Professor Layton and the Curious Village is shacking up with NTT DoCoMo and comes pre-installed on Panasonic's new P906i handset released this week.

Apparently the new version includes some new puzzles, no doubt to help cater the title to mobile in the absence of the DS's unique physiology. What's more, the mini story – Professor Layton's London Holiday – is also going to be released separately later in the year.

Envious enough yet? Okay, we'll stop.

Except to remind you that a third Professor Layton game, Professor Layton and the Last Time Travel, is arriving on the DS later this year. What's that you say? You haven't even got your hands on the second game yet? Right, you've suffered enough. We really will leave this alone now.
