When it was announced at the end of last year, Ghostbusters was confirmed for pretty much every format except PSP. But developer Terminal Reality now says the new game might make it to PSP after all.

Or so says the game's executive producer, Brandan Goss, speaking to Eurogamer: "There are discussions right now about a PSP version," he told the site.

"We're waiting to see how the PS2 stuff goes from a technical side with memory, then it may get ported to the PSP."

The PS2 version of Ghostbusters, like the Wii version, has a more cartoony visual style and simpler narrative. It also has an exclusive offline co-op mode where players can take on one another playing either a ghost or a ghostbuster.

It's a bit of a shame if PSP does only get a direct port - especially considering a game has been specially designed for DS, which plays differently to all the other versions as more of a management style game. But it's definitely good news that the PSP won't be the only format not to play host to what should be a top nostalgia-packed game.

As soon as Terminal Reality or Vivendi confirms its PSP intentions, we'll let you know.
