Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G joins the PSP million high club

Seeing as reports coming out of Japan pointed at Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G being incredibly hard to get hold of just one day after its domestic release last Thursday, it's not too surprising Capcom has announced the game has sold one million copies in its first six days at retail.

It is impressive though, especially when you consider 2nd G isn't even a brand new game; more of an add-on which, for the 1.7 million gamers who've already bought Monster Hunter Portable 2nd, is kind of just more of the same.

Still, we suggest our Japanese readers should consider tracking down a copy of 2nd G to sell on for three times its value.

The previous three games in the Monster Hunter PSP series also sold remarkably well in their homeland, each easily shifting over one million copies. Indeed, Portable 2nd currently seems headed towards the two million mark, a feat we'll have to see if 2nd G can match.

Going on the first six days of sales, we'd say that shouldn't be a problem.
