Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift gets PAL release date

Just a short week ago we reported Square Enix would be releasing Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift – a sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance – in North America on June 24th.

Now the publisher has confirmed a similar release date will apply to Europe, announcing the DS game is heading here sometime in the summer.

Set in Ivalice, the setting of Final Fantasy XII, the game features turn-based, tactical battles on isometric 2D maps, clans of fighters, mages and more and battling with all manner of 'magick' and monsters.

There are over 300 quests and over 50 jobs – more than in other other Final Fantasy game.

There's also a new feature included in the western release that wasn't in the Japanese version of the game, which came out late last year, which is touchscreen functionality. For some reason that didn't make it into the original but we'll be getting that option, which is some compensation for having to wait an extra eight months or so to get hold of the game in the first place.
