O2 mobile game download charts and new releases: February 15th

After last week's torrent of new games, fresh releases have slowed to a drip, redressing the balance somewhat. Even so, 2-4-1 Fast and Furious crams a whole two games into one neat package and given how solid the Fast and Furious racing franchise has been on mobile the value is as potent as a nitro burst to an eight-litre engine. At least that's what we think.

The second of the two new releases is AMA Pulling Power, which as you might have guessed is a seduce-'em-up. It seems like that genre (which potentially, we just coined two seconds ago) is pretty much exclusive to mobiles and AMA is really carving out a niche for itself with its various romance themed titles aimed squarely at the hip young things of today. (Or the less than cool, socially inept bunch who are looking for pointers on how to be less repellent to the opposite sex.)

Similarly, the chart is pretty low on big news this week though the fact that Bejeweled has mysteriously climbed to the top spot is a curious anomaly. It seems the mobile charts don't follow any sort of conventional pattern that can easily be predicted or quantified. (This is in contrast to the home console equivalent, which has all the wavering unpredictability of a concrete slab.)

Elsewhere, PES08 has been nudged off the playing field and replaced by The Sims 2 Castaway, which judging by its forefather, The Sims 2, is set to enjoy a very lengthy stint in the charts (if such a thing can be accurately predicted, clearly).
