We've had plenty of mobile games based on films, console games, TV shows and sports stars, but it's fair to say that classic dramatists haven't been quite so popular as a choice of inspiration.

Ojom is bucking that trend though, with the release of Romeo and Juliet, based on the Shakespeare play.

No, we don't remember there being much sprinting along platforms, fighting enemies and avoiding deadly traps in the play either. We can only assume that in the interests of making a fun game, Ojom has opted to splice Romeo and Juliet with, well, Prince of Persia.

Anyway, you have to rescue Juliet from a castle where she's been imprisoned, and then escape with her. Presumably the ending doesn't involve anyone taking poison or stabbing themselves, unless the publisher has been very brave indeed.

We'll have a review soon. We're looking forward to other publishers following Ojom's lead and taking a crack at Richard III and The Taming of the Shrew. Or you could take the easy option and go for Hamlet Bowling using Yorick's skull.
