Zeemote gets Sonic and Lara Croft
And we've got video proof of the former
Zeemote has revealed another batch of games using its Zeemote JS1 Bluetooth controller. They include Eidos Mobile's Tomb Raider Anniversary and Sonic The Hedgehog Pt.1.
We know, because we nabbed a phone and Zeemote to have a go on the latter last night at the Showstoppers event, which kicks off the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona.
The game played like a dream – controlling Sonic with an analogue pad is much, much easier than fiddling with a keypad. See the video below for proof:
It's developed by FinBlade, the UK outfit that's also making an original game – Fireworks – for the Zeemote. FinBlade has also converted its Pub Darts 180 game (published by Vivendi Games Mobile) to work with the Zeemote.
The Mobile World Congress is pretty much Zeemote's coming-out party, since it's nominated for an innovation award at the show. The company isn't announcing who its first handset partner is yet, although last night all the demo handsets seemed to be Sony Ericssons.
