How to get Astro Lander on your PSP

Remember those heady days of grandstand portable gaming - Asteroids and Frogger? Well now flatmush has coded a PSP version of that classic title Astro Lander. flAstro puts you in charge of a retro space ship that needs to be landed on coloured panels without crashing. Sporting three difficulty settings and load save states, this is a quality piece of designer homebrew.

Unzip the flAstro files The first step is to unzip the flAstro files into a folder on your PC. 1. Unzip the flAstro.zip file that you downloaded during Step 01. 2. Keep the folder to hand on your desktop or similar location.
Copy files on Memory Stick Duo You can now copy the flAstro folder to the following folder on your memory stick: If you're using firmware 1.0, copy to Game folder. Firmware 1.5 isn't directly supported. If firmware 3.XX, copy to Game150 folder.
Start game You can now fire up flAstro on your PSP: 1. Remove your memory stick from your PC. 2. Insert into your memory stick into your homebrew enabled PSP. 3. Navigate to the Game menu and run the flAstro game which should be the first item in the list.
Play game Once loaded the game controls are as follows: 1. Select New to start a new game. 2. The default keys are as follows: D-pad L/R - Thrust Left/Right D-pad Up/Down - Navigate Menus Cross - Normal Thrust / Menu Select Circle - Hyper Thrust / Menu Back X: Fire Start - Pause Menu Select - Take screenshot
Save progress Ensure you save your progress through the game. 1. Press Start on the D-pad. 2. Select Save. 3. Next time you start the game you can load your saved position.
