Would you believe, it's a mobile puzzler involving gems?

We'll be honest: we find it hard to get excited about new puzzle games where you rearrange gems or blocks to make them disappear. There've been so many, they start to blur into one.

However, it's important that we always kick ourselves out of that weariness. The reason there are so many of these games is because they're popular, and the reason they're popular is that they work well on mobile phones, and are accessible to people who want a quick, fun play session.

And besides, you can still differentiate between great match-three puzzlers and rubbish or mediocre ones. Previous experience leads us to believe Gameloft's titles fall firmly into the first category, so we can get excited about new game Diamond Twister after all.

The schtick here is that you rotate gems to make matches, rather than swap or slide them. You're still trying to make combos of three or more though. There are eight game modes, and 64 levels split between eight environments.

Oh, and wrapped around it is a plotline about high-stakes robbery and diamond theft - making this something of a direct rival to RealArcade's Diamond Detective.
