Eleven pipers a-piping. No one knows why. No one cares

DS + PSP + Java

Ah, the first Friday back after being off. What a feeling - to be able to look forward to the weekend, having dealt with the worst week of the (new) year. Well, that's fine for you, isn't it? You haven't had to think up a dozen metaphors bridging a medieval rhyme with current gaming culture.

Cos, frankly, I have to admit, the wheels have fallen off. Pipers piping? It's a struggle. Pipemania was never the most interesting of games, half-pipes (in the context of Tony Hawk) is stretching the metaphor at bit thin, while despite the urging of thousands of thirtysomething adolescents, there's still no Doctor Who (including Billie Piper) game on the cards; even that Top Trumps one rumoured last summer has been lost somewhere in the ether.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it - but not inside an enclosed public space, of course, even one as expansive as the TARDIS.
