PopCap Games has been one of Apple's key game partners for iPod, and the relationship continues to thrive judging by the news that PopCap is releasing Peggle for iPod.

It's one of PopCap's biggest hits online, having been downloaded ten million times since it was launched in March this year. Like all iPod games, it's been rejigged to work with the scroll wheel, and also lets you play your own tunes as the game's soundtrack.

All 55 levels from the original game are included, with ten powers and 75 Grand Master challenges. You can also take on a friend using the Duel Mode.

If you need a primer, Peggle involves firing a silver ball around the screen knocking into orange pegs. There are various power-ups to collect, including lobster claws.

You can buy Peggle now from the iTunes Store.
