Gameloft unleashes another 3D racer
Imagine if real cars had nitro. It'd certainly make the Stevenage ring road a bit more hair-raising of an evening. Those boy racers would love it.
Thankfully, real cars don't, but it's almost mandatory for vehicles in games to have great big rockety exhausts now. Gameloft's NitroStreet Racing follows the pattern (the clue's in the title), welding nitro boosts to ten real-world cars.
We're talking models from BMW, Cadillac, Nissan, Peugeot, Subaru, Ford, Honda, Volkswagen and Chrysler here. As ever, you're racing at top speeds around an unsuspecting city, which in this game has been designed entirely in 3D, and split into five different neighbourhoods, each with their own feel.
There's more than 40 races and challenges to work through, with an impressive six different game modes to boot. We've always enjoyed Gameloft's Asphalt Urban GT games, so hopefully NitroStreet Racing will be just as fun.
