Now Glu wants to make sexy mobile games

Everyone else is doing it, so why not?

Forget dodgy Iraq dossiers. This year's big trend in 'sexing up' is mobile games. How else can you explain the wide variety of genres that are suddenly getting a bikini-clad revamp?

Glu is the latest publisher to eye the adult bandwagon, according to an interview with Reuters.

Why? Well, sexy games are Big In Germany, apparently. "More or less every German operator keeps telling you, 'You have to do erotic games'," reveals central Europe territory manager Sabine Hahn.

Meanwhile, marketing director Patrick Mork says Glu is weighing up its options. "We're looking at the numbers and trying to understand what the needs are," he says. Perhaps Glu should ask the publisher of last year's Sexy Babes Wild Waterslides for advice.

Oh, hang on. That was Glu.

In non-adult news, Glu is also launching a promotion in London and Manchester called, er, 'I Love British Summer'. We agree completely – there's nothing better than sleet in August.

The two-week promotion will offer free demos of Transformers, Sonic Jump, My Hangman and Brain Genius to people, accessible by texting GET GAMES to the shortcode 83900. We assume that works if you're not in London or Manchester, too.
