We don't normally cover the world of mobile emulators on Pocket Gamer. Well, there are so many high-quality modern mobile games, it'd be a bit silly to bang on about getting old ZX Spectrum titles to run on your smartphone, just because you can.

However, this story's worth it. A crafty coder has ported the InfoNES emulator onto Apple's iPhone, complete with an on-screen controller that you use via touch. Now that's cool.

Okay, so it's apparently a bit slow, and the controller doesn't work that well. But hey, it's a start. And, if nothing else, it's a sign that until Apple gets its bottom into gear and releases some proper iPhone games, there are plenty of developers out there who will look to plug the gap.
