Miami Nights scoops top gaming prize at Meffys 2007
Gameloft's virtual dating sim feels the love in competitive gaming field
Considering that the ultimate aim of Miami Nights: Singles In the City is to become a jetsetting playboy (or girl), it seems somehow appropriate that Gameloft's virtual life-sim scooped the Meffys 2007 Games Award at a gala dinner in Monte Carlo's Fairmount Hotel last night.
Despite a tough field including Digital Chocolate's Tornado Mania, Glu's Brain Genius, EA Sport's UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 and I-play's The Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift – all of which scooped either eight or nine in our reviews – Miami Nights nevertheless manage to romance the judges (including our very own Jon Jordan).
