Okay pocket gamers, no need for a sales pitch when everything in this here article is free, so let's crack on with this week's Friday Freebie.

This week we learned that Sony Ericsson is teaming up with 3D mobile game guru Fishlabs to deliver games through the former's Fun & Downloads portal. Whether you're part of the Sony Ericsson crowd or not (but assuming you have a compatible phone, of course) there are some free demos on Fishlabs' website that are well worth thumbing over. The site contains free demos of Galaxy on Fire and Planet Riders, both of which are standout mobile titles and should be more than enough to give you a taster of Fishlabs' excellent roster.

We also got wind this week of a tweaked puzzle version of the hit DS Pokemon challenger – Spectrobes, for mobiles. Launching alongside the game is a WAP portal containing free mobile wallpapers for owners of the game and a free demo for those looking to dip their toe into the addictive monster duelling collect-'em-up genre.

The usually demo-laden PSP corner of the Friday Freebie is a bit more scant than usual. Seeing as you lot have been so busy with all the demos we've been sniffing out for you during the last couple of months, however, this week might not be such a bad time to get in some belated spring cleaning. And what better way to spruce up your PSP than with a veritable cornucopia of wallpapers? The good folks over at ThemePSP have more PSP background images than you could ever use – and they are all free.

As for the DS, as usual there's not much in the way of official gratuity, so yet again we've been prompted to turn to the dark side of gaming in order to squeeze something free out of the Nintendo handheld. This week we threw our scruples out the window and featured an informative piece on how to get SNES games working on your DS. Unfortunately we are much too law abiding to tell you where to get the actual SNES ROMs, but we hear you can get them quite easily via a very famous search engine (clue: its name begins with a G and ends with an e).

That's it for this week; click 'Track It!' for more freebies next week.
