And then a Heroes mobile game came along…

Gameloft is fast becoming the go-to mobile games publisher for big TV series, following its release of Lost, Desperate Housewives and Deal Or No Deal. It can only be a matter of time before it does Hollyoaks.

Or maybe not.

Anyway, the latest TV licence to be snapped up by the French publisher is Heroes, NBC Universal's ace superhero drama. Heroes: The Mobile Game is based on the show's first series, but also its upcoming second season.

Gameloft says the show's actual writers will be contributing to the script for the mobile game, which makes it possible to play as characters Hiro Nakamura, Niki Sanders, Matt Parkman and Peter Petrelli, with a variety of gameplay based on each hero's special powers.

Heroes: The Mobile Game is out later this year, and we're already looking forward to it. What's more, given the company's recent noises about looking for more UK-based licences, we'd love to see Gameloft get its hands on Doctor Who. Come on BBC, you know it makes sense!
