AnyPlays launches mobile Yo-Yo game
Spanish firm's new casual game will have you walking the dog
Without wishing to be cynical, if you wanted to play with a yo-yo on the move, wouldn't you buy, well, an actual yo-yo? Maybe not: messing up your Reverse Loop-The-Loop in public can be embarrassing.
If you're tied up in knots, the Spanish developer AnyPlays – which just changed its name from Movilenio Sevicios Moviles – has a solution. Yo-Yo GoGo is, yes, a yo-yo simulator, letting you pull all your favourite tricks without people laughing at you.
It's apparently playable with one thumb, yet AnyPlays says it's got a proper physics engine inside to accurately imitate the yo-yo's movements. Perhaps that's what our A-level physics teacher meant by string theory?
There's a full-screen zoom feature, while the graphics remind us of all manner of classic beat-'em-ups, which is a nice touch.
Yo-Yo GoGo is out soon, although we're not yet sure if that's just in Spain, or in the UK too.
