N-Gage + DS + Game Boy ...

Personally, I always find it funny when gamemakers complain at hardware companies for the perceived failure of their platforms. Apparently, there's never any modicum of responsibility in terms of the gamemakers' output not appealing to the audience. Falling into the trap this week has been EA's Larry Probst, who's been complaining about PSP. He clearly hasn't been checking out the review scores for EA's PSP games such as James Bond 007: From Russia With Love, and The Godfather: Mob Wars.

Still, when peripheral manufacturers are offering the equivalent of penile enlargement kits for your joystick, you have to start worrying don't you Sony?

Another loudmouth game executive on the blog this week was Nintendo's 'Here's Reggieeeeeee...' Reggie Fils-Aime, who reckons the veteran GBA still has another Christmas of solid sales ahead of it. We assumes he means 2007. Wow. That means Nintendo Europe might finally get around to releasing lost in translation classics like WarioWare Twisted! and Drill Dozer. We won't be holding our breath, although we might make an exception for new DS Wario game Wario the Thief, new screens of which were squirted onto the web.

Still if Nintendo has an employee who's the exact opposite to Fils-Aime (after all he was the man who launched the Bigfoot Pizza and The Big New Yorker for Pizza Hut), it has to be the unassuming Shigeru Miyamoto (the man behind Mario and Donkey Kong). He's just been named a hero in the Asian edition of TIME Magazine.

Maybe he could go out and celebrate with a gold DS stylus? Actually we all could, as they're only $20 (probably not solid gold then). The other accessory covered this week for the demanding DS Lite owner is the fridge magnet holder. More useful than it sounds, it's actually designed to be used with DS cooking software, Kenkou Ouen Recipe 1000.
