There might be thousands of coloured-ball games available on mobile, but at least Gameloft has had the decency to throw monkeys, spiders and parrots into the mix with its new effort.

Bubble Bash is the game's name, and judging by the screenshots, it's basically Bust-A-Move, except with balloons instead of balls, and a menagerie of animals trying to put you off. Which actually sounds rather fun to us.

Playing in a tropical island setting, your job is to burst balloons by forming rows of three or more of the same colour. There are 13 types of special bubble to liven things up, including some that explode, and others that blend in with other balloons. There's even the odd helium balloon.

Meanwhile, those animals do all they can to put you off while you're playing, although it remains to be seen whether you can get rid of them with a carefully-aimed balloon, or whether you have to just put up with them.

Bubble Bash is out now. We'll float you an email when we review it if you click the 'Track It!' button.
