DS + PSP

Two bits of good news this week. And, yes, one involves the PSP version of Lego Star Wars II.

No, it's not a definite release date – but at least the developer did email us two days ago to say Lego Star Wars II would be in the UK shops in November. Hopefully the extra time it's taken to appear is a promising sign that the experience won't prove anything like as disappointing as some DS owners have discovered.

The other positive is the fact that PSP owners' attention is likely to be focused on Ridge Racer 2 anyway, which threatens to screech into shops tomorrow. By contrast, Power Stone Collection has seemingly taken the slow route to retail, and is now scheduled to take a further seven days to make it onto shelves.

As for DS, things are a little quieter, with very little to get excited about, unless you're into Disney games with vastly long names. Or you were looking forward to Crazy Frog Racer, which has apparently been delayed until the start of next month. Not entirely accurately named, that one.

October 13th

Disney's American Dragon: Jake Long, Attack of the Dark Dragon DS

October 20th

Kazook (PSP) (Click on any of the game names above to buy).

Have you read our controversial opinion as to why games so often miss their release dates?
