Sega and Ubisoft raise eyebrows as well a IQs with brain training lookalike

PSP to get Japanese brain training too, thanks to Sega's Mind Quiz

Brain training games are the new black right now. Ever since Nintendo first unveiled the might of Dr Kawashima's Brain Training onto the world, it seems everyone from Chris Tarrant to mobile publisher Digital Chocolate has clamoured to get in on the act.

Now Ubisoft and Sega are leaping aboard the brainy bandwagon to bring the PSP its first proper helping of grey matter stimulant via Mind Quiz.

Set in a school environment and working along the same lines as Nintendo's Brain Training and Big Brain Academy games (perhaps not surprising as this game is part of a Japanese Brain Trainer series, all overseen by the venerable Doctor Kawashima, who also helped out with Nintendo's games), Mind Quiz poses a series of tests of calculation, reflex, judgement and memory to evaluate brain capacity.

As you'd expect, Mind Quiz also features a Brain Age Checking mode enabling you to chart your progress by answering questions on a daily basis, as well as a challenge mode and the intriguing healing gallery (sounds like just the thing for a hangover!)

Already a hit in Japan, Mind Quiz will be increasing UK IQs in November.
