The Electronic Entertainment Expo may have breathed its last, at least in its current form, in May (ah, may she rest in piece), but fortunately there's a host of other games shows queuing up to fill the void.

Last week we brought you the latest news from Game Convention Leipzig, and now the Penny Arcade Expo has popped up to furnish us with yet more screens of Nintendo's upcoming DS releases.

Firstly there's ten new shots from Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis showing a much wider variety of levels than we'd previously glimpsed, including a handful which bring both screens into play.

Nineteen screens from 42 All Time Classics offer a better insight into the variety of challenges on offer, with images of darts, bowling, drafts and various word games on top of the card games that we saw before.

The images from Yoshi's Island 2 (still working title) back up what we highlighted in our preview with different characters employing their own special skills. Check out Donkey Kong climbing on vines, Princess Peach using her umbrella and Yoshi floating around in the pouch of a big flying cow type thing.

To complete the set there's also eleven new shots of Mario Slam Basketball to dribble over, a handful of Final Fantasy III single screen shots (why?) and a closer look at the dogfighting action promised by Star Fox Command, fleshing out our earlier preview.

In the unlikely event that this little lot hasn't sated your appetite for all things Nintendo, you can always stuff your eyes some more with our round-up of Leipzig shots (including some in game pics from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass), a look at upcoming Touch Generations title Sudoku Master and an avalance of images from Elite Beat Agents.
