Ever looked at a mobile game and thought you could do better? If the answer is yes and if you've got a fresh and funky idea, you could already be on the way to winning a share of $30,000.

That's the prize money up for grabs at the International Mobile Gaming Awards – and it's open to fresh talent as well as established games developers. All you need to do is head over to www.imgawards.com, fill in the entry form and submit your brilliant idea in the form of a detailed explanation and some visuals.

You don't need to create any code at this stage, and although accompanying materials such as demos, videos or storyboards are welcome, they aren't essential. All you have to do right now is convince the expert judging panel that your concept is one of the 20 best ideas.

Manage to do that and you'll then have until January 26th to put together a demo version for the final judging before the announcement at the 3GSM World Conference 2007 show in Barcelona.

There are five awards in all. Excellence in 3D, Best Use of Connectivity, Best Interactive Experience and Most Innovative Game all carry a hefty $5,000 prize, while the overall winner of the IMGA Grand Prix can look forward to scooping $15,000, as well as the chance to see their game distributed to the public.

You'd better hurry if you want a chance to get your hands on the cash though, as the closing date for the initial proposals is just a month away on September 11th. Head over to www.imgawards.com now!
