Brand new DS screens of Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam

One of the Pocket Gamer team once met and took photos of Steve Caballero (inventor of the Caballerial, a 360-degree reverse twist in the air off a ramp), Steve McGill (inventor of the 540-degree spinning McTwist aerial) and Tony Hawk (chief beneficiary – besides Activision shareholders – of the best-selling and always reliable Tony Hawk's skating games) some 20 years ago in Wales.

And boy does that make him feel old.

But more interestingly, one wonders what Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam inspires in Caballero and McGill?

Yes, where they got the props and the moves named after them for posterity, Hawk got the games and the millions. And contrary to the lazy quip we'll certainly make if this DS title proves a dud when we review it, right now his series is going anything but downhill. In fact, our DS editor Jon Jordan had to be torn away from it when he played it at E3.

We've just received these new screenshots of the game, but there's still no word of a release date. Click 'Track It!' above to swoop on Tony Hawk on DS when we get more news.
