Nokia announces camera feature for Creatures Of The Deep

Nokia has revealed more details about its Creatures Of The Deep game, which isn't coming out until next year but had us dribbling from our brief playtest at E3.

The 3D fish-'em-up will apparently use vibration feedback to give a realistic sensation of how it feels to reel in a prize catch (although we're a bit puzzled, having never used a fishing rod that buzzed like a vibrating mobile phone before).

More exciting is the news that Creatures Of The Deep will also use the built-in camera on handsets.

"The player can use the camera motion sensing feature to perform a physical cast," says Brandon Crick, games marketing manager at Nokia.

Imagine how silly you'll look playing it on the train…

Nokia has also launched an official website for the game to whet your appetite in the lengthy run-up to its release, promising blog-powered news, interactive hidden treasures and a teaser trailer.
