A while back we told you about LocoRoco (read our news story here), one of the most charming and intriguing games to have emerged on PSP to date.

The game isn't due in the UK until 23rd June, but you can get an idea of what all the fuss is about by downloading a LocoRoco demo from the game's official Japanese website: www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/locoroco/dl/trial_dl_agree.html

The site is obviously in Japanese, but finding what you're looking for shouldn't be too difficult. After you've got past the home page, the word 'download' kind of gives it away. Once you've downloaded the EBOOT.PBP file, place it in a newly created folder – naming it UCJS10041 – and finally copy that into the GAME folder you'll find on the Memory Stick.

Please note you can't download this directly to your PSP – you have to go through your PC and connect the PSP to it via USB. You also need the latest firmware upgrade (version 2.70), which you'll find at www.yourpsp.com if you haven't installed it already.

Enjoy.
