Dungeon Siege coming to PSP
Award-winning roleplaying franchise aims to conquer Sony's handheld
Further evidence of the widening scope of PSP experiences comes with the announcement from 2K Games that acclaimed roleplaying game series Dungeon Siege is to be crammed kicking and shrieking into a UMD.
Until now confined to PC, the franchise has gained popularity for delivering traditional roleplaying game elements with a heavy action-orientated slant within a very pretty – though deadly – fantasy-based 3D environment filled with orcs, goblins and other similarly unfriendly brutes.
For PSP, you can expect all that in a completely new adventure.
Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony, due in the autumn, features new playable characters, whose powers you develop in order to dispose of the evil you encounter while wandering through the freshly designed and non-linear single-player game.
Ad hoc cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes will further add to the promised intensity of the experience.
The decision to bring Dungeon Siege to PSP is an intriguing one, and we're keen to see how it translates to PSP. As soon as we find out, so will you.
