Hurrah! Another mobile Sudoku game is coming out. Just what we needed! Not. But hang on a minute, this one’s a bit special. Vodafone Sudoku is only going to be available to T-Mobile subscribers (oh, alright, Vodafone subscribers), but that’s not the cool part.

The game, which was developed by Japanese firm G-Mode, uses Sudoku puzzles hand-created by another Japanese company, Nikoli. That’s the company that first popularized Sudoku back in 1984. Their puzzles aren’t just whacked out by a computer, but are designed to have patterns that you often only notice when you’ve solved them.

So, in other words it’s the game for real Sudoku aficionados. And it’s on a Vodafone handset near you soon. Bet they don’t get David Beckham to play this one in a TV advert…
