McRae Goes Mobile

The gruff Scot may be more frequently sighted racing over sand dunes on the Paris-Dakar rally these days than he is blasting through the soggy British countryside, but that hasn’t put a crimp on his successful game franchise. Colin McRae Rally 2005 not only marks the fifth generation of the PC and console game but also the first time that the title’s made it onto a next-generation mobile device with the N-Gage. And, to give you a taster, a free playable demo has been made available for download from www.n-gage.com, featuring two of the 64 stages that the full game boasts.

Featuring all the mud, sweat and gears that you’ve come to expect from the CMR games, the N-Gage version boasts a garage-filling 16 cars and all of the usual four-wheeled suspects are present and correct: Subaru, Peugeot, Toyota and Audi are all included. Each car is fully tuneable, hopefully helping you to avoid experiencing the detailed damage engine.
