Tower of Fantasy's A Sword Dance of Ice update will introduce a new map, story and bosses later this month
Level Infinite and Hotta Studio have announced that a new update is coming to Tower of Fantasy on October 24th, bringing the open-world MMORPG to version 3.3. The update is called A Sword Dance of Ice and introduces a new map, story and bosses.
The new area is called Marshville, a formerly vibrant land that now finds itself transformed into a wintry tundra following the Darkness' invasion. Although, as a man who enjoys the cold, that sounds like a marked improvement. Anyway, Marshville is home to two giant Black Jade Ruins, with each containing mysteries that have remained unsolved for many years.
Elsewhere in this new area, you will find the Marshville Mansion where the office of the chief of the Baihu Guards can be found. Other notable places include the Tramway Terminal, which is responsible for moving resources in and out of the area, and The Department of Yuheng, an organisation that offers advice for battling against the Darkness.
As for the new bosses, you can expect to come up against Xingtian, a high-ranking Darkness. Many folks were sacrificed to seal this individual inside a dungeon, so you can expect that he won't go down easily in a fight. But, should you wish to take on the challenge, you are free to do so.
There's also a new main story to complete called Frost-Covered Marshville. It revolves around helping the area's citizens break free from the clutches of the Darkness alongside speeding up the modification of the Infinite Sundial.
