The King of Fighters ALLSTAR introduces a brand new crossover with popular fighting game series Soulcalibur, featuring three new characters and some in-game events

Legendary mobile developer Netmarble’s mobile fighter The King of Fighters Allstar will be seeing a brand new event that introduces a bunch of new in-game characters from another popular fighting game franchise: Soulcalibur. Specifically, this event is focused on the sixth entry into the Soulcalibur franchise, and comes with not only those new characters but also some other new events and surprises.

Soulcalibur is a non-traditional fighting game series focused entirely on weapon-based fighting rather than the usual hand-to-hand style. It’s been a longstanding series having been introduced back in the days of retro consoles and the like, so it’s quite exciting for a lot of people to see characters from the series enter the King of Fighters arena.

As for what new characters are being introduced into The King of Fighters Allstar, we’ve got EX Cassandra - a sword and shield-wielding maiden who uses her Leader Skill to increase her attack and defence, while also decreasing her Active Skill Cooldown and her Finish Skill Cooldown. Overall, she’s focused on throwing out her abilities against her opponents as frequently as possible while doing tons of damage.

Then, we’ve got EX Taki. Taki is a nunchuck-wielding ninja, whose Leader Skill increases the attack and critical damage of [Extreme] Fighters. Upon being tagged in, EX Taki also gets increased attack and takes a significantly decreased amount of damage from her opponent.

On top of the new additions to the roster, KoF Allstar will also run three different events. The Collaboration Check-in is a daily login-in event that will reward players with another new character: the much beloved Ivy from Soulcalibur. Along with her, you’ll also get lots of free currency from this event too.

Then we’ve got the Collaboration Event Summon, which will let players obtain various growth items including a costume for Cassandra. Finally, there’s a new boss to square off against with the Collaboration Boss Showdown that will reward you with a Soulcalibur exclusive Enhancement Hammer and Event Coins.

Phew! There's lots of new stuff to try your hand at. If you’d like to do so, you can download The King of Fighters Allstar for free at either of the links below!
