Pokemon Unite reveals upcoming content to celebrate the New Year
The Pokémon Company has just unveiled a roadmap for Pokémon Unite as we approach the new year. The MOBA has had quite a successful year, having been downloaded over 100 million times. The developers are going into 2023 with loads of in-game events, new Pokémon, and another Battle Pass planned.
Most of these festivities kick off on December 26th with the launch of Battle Pass Season 13. It will run until March 2nd, 2023 and feature a tonne of rewards. Players will be able to get their hands on the Dark Hero Style: Buzzwole and Dark Hero Set Trainer fashion items. The store will add new Holowear for other Pokémon too.
On the same day, the Full-Fury Team Clash also releases, where players must choose either the Red Team led by Buzzwole or the Blue Team with Cinderace as the leader. Battles will be held until February 5th, 2023, during which trainers can earn a number of points for their teams.
Then finally on December 29th, the Stealth Pokémon, Dragapult joins Pokémon Unite’s roster. As an Attacker, Dragapult does a great job performing tricky moves such as dashing across the map rapidly while attacking opponents or ambushing them after suddenly coming out of hiding. Its Unite Move is called Move, Dreep, and Destroy, using which it attacks by launching Dreepy.
Finally, to celebrate the New Year, the MOBA will be rewarding players with lots of goodies. The final week leading up to 2023 will see login events where random 7-day Licenses are granted, Holowears can be rented, and more. Even a Lucky Wheel will be available, granting everyone up to 135 spins until January 3rd. More details on its rewards should be available soon.
