Genshin Impact unveils upcoming version 4.1 - To the Stars Shining in the Depths
Genshin Impact’s version 4.0 – As Light Rain Falls Without Reason was a major one as it finally introduced Fontaine, Teyvat’s highly anticipated fifth region. With v4.1, To the Stars Shining in the Depths, we travel northwards as new characters join the fray alongside several other events.
As of now, players have seen the prosperous Court of Fontaine, but the reality lies in the north. It showcases a wildly different perspective of the place. Deep within the sea is the Fortress of Meropide, where exiles from all over Fontaine are locked up.
It is here the new Archon Quest begins, which sees players being tasked with locating Childe. These new ruins contain several challenges that travellers must overcome. The Millennial Pearl Seahorse may look gorgeous, but players must beware of its stinging Electro damage. Another boss battle will take place against the Experimental Field Generator that is capable of manipulating gravity in battle.
To help out, two new characters from high positions in Fontaine are joining Genshin Impact. Neuvillette (Hydro) is the ludex of Fontaine while Wriothesley (Cryo) is the Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide. Both are Catalyst wielders and can use a portion of their health to cast certain attacks, regaining it back eventually. Players will be able to get their hands on both of them through event wishes.
The game is also nearing its third anniversary and the shower of rewards has already begun. Mailboxes will soon contain 1,600x Primogems, 4x Fragile Resin, and two unique gadgets, the Portable Aerodynamic Gelatinous Bubble Generator and the Itty Bitty Octobaby. A login event with 10x Intertwined Fates will also be available.
