LoL: Wild Rift Amumu Champion Guide: Best build, items, and everything you need to know
Updated: July 27, 2021

In this League of Legends: Wild Rift Amumu guide you'll find everything you need to know about the champion, from his skills and how to allocate them to his build, skill combo, and runes. Here is what you will find in the Amumu guide below:

The Sad Mummy, Amumu, is our next Wild Rift champion to take the stand. He is best suited for the jungle, and his fun and easy kit makes him a great choice for beginners. Also, a fun-to-play one for more experienced players.

Although Amumu doesn't have any friends, if you pick him as your champion and befriend him, he might be able to carry your games all on his own. All jokes aside now, Amumu is fairly easy to play, and as long as you land your Skill 1, he will be useful for any team as an engage champion. Furthermore, if you land your ultimate on multiple enemies, and your team follows up, it will almost guarantee you a winnable teamfight.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Amumu skills

Cursed Touch (Passive)

Amumu's basic attacks Curse his enemies, causing them to take bonus true damage from incoming magic damage.

Bandage Toss (Skill 1)

Amumu tosses a sticky bandage at a target, stunning and damaging the target while he pulls himself to them.

Despair (Skill 2)

Overcome by anguish, nearby enemies lose a percentage of their maximum Health each second and have their Curses refreshed.

Tantrum (Skill 3)

Permanently reduces the physical damage Amumu would take. Amumu can unleash his rage, dealing damage to surrounding enemies. Each time Amumu is hit, the cooldown on Tantrum is reduced by 0.5 seconds.

Curse of the Sad Mummy (Skill 4 / Ultimate)

Amumu entangles surrounding enemy units in bandages, applying his Curse, damaging them and rendering them unable to attack or move.

How to combo as Amumu:

Amumu doesn't exactly have a set combo, since he will have to use the abilities depending on the situation he's in. Here are a couple of useful Amumu tips:

- Use his Skill 3 when farming for AoE clear.

- Activate your Skill 2 before you dive into a fight -> Skill 1 -> Skill 3

This is probably the only "combo" that you need to know on Amumu when fighting.

Also, depending on the build you will do, you want to approach the battles differently. For a full-AP Amumu, for example, you don't want to linger around for too long. You want to go in, one-shot the opponents, and go out, whereas for a full tank Amumu you can carry on in extended team fights, and have your Skill 2 activated for constant damage. Also, don't forget to auto=attack the opponents to cause them to take more magic damage.

In what order to level up the skills?

On Amumu, you want to max out your Skill 3 first, then Skill 1, and finally your Skill 2.

Level 1: Skill 3
Level 2: Skill 2
Level 3: Skill 1
Level 4: Skill 3
Level 5: Skill 4
Level 6: Skill 3
Level 7: Skill 3

Keep leveling Skill 3 until it's maxed, then focus on Skill 1, and lastly on Skill 2. Of course, whenever you can, you want to add 1 point into your Skill 4 (ultimate).

The best summoner spells

Smite: Deal 440 true damage (440 - 1100) to a large or epic monster or minion. Smiting monsters restores 70 HP. Slaying 4 large monsters upgrades Smite to Chilling Smite or Challenging Smite, which can target enemy champions. (+ the bonuses from Hunting License and Tooth and Nail from Smite, that charge once every 45s)

Flash: Teleport a short distance forward or towards the aimed direction.

Wild Rift Amumu - The best items

wild rift amumu - item build Boots Ionian Glory is a great choice on Amumu, for the burst of movement speed.  Ionian Stasis is the other choice, which is great when the opponents have a powerful team, but your team still needs an engage like Amumu. In this case, Stasis enchant is the best choice.
