Call of Duty: Mobile's latest season has now kicked off, bringing with it a handful of fresh objectives to tackle and neat rewards to earn.

Let's get some bad news out of the way first before we delve into all the cool stuff: Zombies mode is being removed on March 25th. We've known for a while that the mode wouldn't be permanent, but it's still a shame to see it go, even if the team has left the door open for it to return at a later date.

"The mode just didn't reach the level of quality that we desire. The second map, Nacht Der Untoten, is also not releasing in the global version", said a community update on the game's official subreddit.

And so on to the good news… Here are the rewards up for grabs in the latest battle pass and their respective tier levels:

Tier 01
  • AK117 MacTavish
  • John "Soap" MacTavish
Tier 10
  • HG40 Brambles
Tier 12
  • Urban Tracker
Tier 20
  • Rainbow Knife
Tier 30
  • S36 Brambles
Tier 50
  • RUS-79U Viking

On top of all that, the highly anticipated Cage map is now available to all. It's perfect for intense, close-quarters firefights.

The Hive operator skill is also now available to try out on your unsuspecting foes. This is grenade launcher of sorts that appears to unleash a swarm of man-eating bugs.

I'm surprised it's taken this long for John "Soap" MacTavish to make his way into the world of COD Mobile. As the primary protagonist of the Modern Warfare games, his name alone will likely spark a bit of nostalgia for long-term fans.

The credit store has now been updated, and the limited-time Warfare mode is ready to try. Another mode called One Shot One Kill (it's a mystery what that one's about) has also arrived, and you'll benefit from double player and weapon XP. Not bad.
