Legendary tower-defence gacha RPG Arknights has launched its latest update with Contingency Contract 12: Operation Base Point. This new patch brings a new banner that will offer up select legendary characters in higher percentages, alongside a few new store additions and a permanent stage that is sure to challenge even the most seasoned of players.

Let’s start with that new banner! It's called Joint Operation and will give players a much higher chance of receiving the 6-star Operators Irene, Lee, Dorothy, and Thorns. Alongside each of those, some 5-star Operators will also have a far higher chance of being drawn, those being Istina, Blacknight, Andreana, Flint, Quercus, and Nightmare. So, while there are no new characters up for grabs here, there is a strong chance of grabbing some of the higher-tier ones.

As for that permanent stage, Nameless Sanctuary, players will have to fight strong opponents such as the Hateful Avenger and familiar Sarkaz opponents. There are plenty of challenging and unique modifiers that will create a stage so tough that even those with some of the strongest teams in the game may find themselves struggling a bit, so it’s a solid end-game-level piece of content.

Then we have the new additions to the store. These include some new furniture pieces, the Base Point Pendant and the Contingency Memories. Then, we have new skins for Astesia and a replicated outfit for Amiya. Entitled Fantastic Crafts and Fresh Fastener respectively, you can exchange currency for either and rock some new digs for these two Operators.

So, while a rather light update in terms of Arknights’s usual massive new chapter additions and whatnot, there’s still some meat to chew on here. If you want to take part yourself, download the game for free at either of the links below!
